The normally scheduled PRRH Summer Open House was today. This year however the Town of Phillipsburg and the Susquehanna Group has Thomas the Tank Engine in town. We opened last weekend to support the Thomas event. Our turnout was disappointing at best. Today was another story thanks to Glenn Terminelli and Meg Carpenito. Glenn spoke with the public address announcer at the Thomas event on Friday and he was giving us regular plugs today. Meg did a little street walking down at Main and Market to tell people departing the area about our free train ride. This was the winning combination netting us over 200 riders today.
From mid day on many trains went out full.
Charlie was there helping Evelyn Bennington the booth.
The North Jersey boys were there showing off their work.
It wound up being a gray day but at least the rain held off till about 4:30 when we started getting light showers.
I try to keep the ISO low but that leads to depth of field issues. Conductor Paul giving hand signals to Engineer Bob Bennington as they back into the station.
