PRRH Lehigh Valley 16 Photo #16: The Lehigh Valley 217 and 218 were ex-C&O RS-2 locomotives that the Lehigh Valley got used. They ran for a time in C&O blue. Here we see the 217 at Easton in June 1970. One way to tell an RS-2 from a RS-3 is the fuel tank on the RS-2 is under the cab. If you look at the 217 you see the fuel cap just under the cab window. On the RS-3 the fuel cap is under the frame.
