PRRH Lehigh Valley 8
Photo #8: The Lehigh Valley 22 is a switcher that was built at the South Easton shop 1890. It was renumbered to 3250 in 1905 and scrapped in 1913. It was the first engine at Easton to have the boiler jacket painted, after a trip off a wharf into the river at Jersey City. Before this, the boiler jacket was Russian Iron. This was sheet steel that had a finish like a gun and did not need to be painted.
