PRRH Lehigh Valley 57 Photo #57: In a Railroad Magazine, it was stated that the 1593 was scrapped in 1923. The article was wrong, the 1593 ended up in a rebuild program and had $35,000 spent on the rebuild. Time books belonging to a fireman-engineer given to the club by Norm Cole shows it being at Easton in 1924, after the rebuild. It was scrapped in 1930. I do not have a photo of the 1593 but the 1594 was just like it and here is a photo of it in 1912.
