PRRH Lehigh Valley 67
Photo #67: The Delaware, Susquehanna & Schuylkill RR was outside of Hazleton and used Lehigh Valley trackage rights to get to Perth Amboy. They had built for them a number of 2-6-0s to move the coal trains. The axle load was too high for the bridges east of Easton at the time. They ended up selling them to the Lehigh Valley and they used them in places the bridges would take the load. Here we see LVRR 1940 at Sayre in 1926, one of the 2-6-0 engines. In 1905 the Delaware, Susquehanna & Schuylkill RR was sold to LVRR.
