PRRH Lehigh Valley 84 Photo #84: I've been asked where camelback type locomotives were used on the Lehigh Valley. One train was the “Black Diamond” out of Buffalo. Up to 1911, only camelback locomotives where used on this train. Here we see camelback 2415 at Bellewood in 1911. During this year, a new 4-4-2 type built at the Lehigh Valley shop at Sayre started to replace 4-4-2 type camelbacks out of Buffalo.
