PRRH Lehigh Valley 61
Photo #61: Here we see the 1650 on the main at South Easton Shops. The two men are looking back over the train but it looks like they are looking at the woman on the footbridge. This was one of two footbridges that crossed the Lehigh River here. The South Easton station was in the base of the tower for one bridge. I was told if you crossed the bridge with any wind it made you think about putting up the $.05 for the trolley for the trip the long way around. At times the wind was so bad, men going to work at the Shop that did not put the money up for the trolley ride came across the bridge on all fours.
